ABOUT
A Musical Journey
Born and raised in Buffalo NY, Ashlee Amoia grew up in a very loving and encouraging family. Since childhood, she’s wanted to sing and although it’s not always easy, she has sustained a remarkable drive and an appealing excitement to pursue it as a career. Throughout her youth and teen years Ashlee sang all throughout the Western New York area. She won first place in “Italian Idol”, toured with the SJCI Swing Choir in high school, and performed with the SUNY Buffalo Jazz Ensemble, Studio 54 Dance Band, and About Face Band throughout her college career.
Ashlee loved singing, but wanted to explore other avenues of the entertainment industry. She met Frank Rossi, an acting coach from Los Angeles and began working with him. Since then, shehas starred in an MTV pilot, “I Remember Chloe”, made a cameo appearance on "How I Met Your Mother", and appeared in several commercials. She also had the experience of being an NFL cheerleader for the Buffalo Bills. She realized that performing was her true passion, and something she wanted to do for the rest of her life.
Since then, Ashlee’s career has really flourished. In 2012, she started working with the “The Scintas”. Ashlee received a phone call within hours to show time; the lead female vocalist couldn’t perform due to sickness. She immediately went to the venue, rehearsed with the band, learned the material, and performed that night. Little did she know that one night of filling-in, wouldturn into a two-year nationwide tour. Ashlee headlined in Las Vegas, sang with multi-piece orchestras, and opened for Sonny Turner, a world-renowned entertainer from "The Platters". She felt grateful that she was able to sing for thousands of people and touring all over the country, and loved each and every moment.
After the tour was over marked a huge milestone in Ashlee’s music career. She embarked in unknown territory and produced her first show as a solo performer. She told stories of her life through song, and felt extremely blessed to see such a positive response from the audience.
In 2013, Ashlee partnered with Savoy in Allentown, as their Musical Director/ Talent Coordinator. For over a year, every Sunday, she resided at Savoy where she has developed a program for local musicians and entertainers to have a place to showcase their skills, and meet other talented people in the same field. Each showcase was unique in music selection and gave each artist and patron involved the chance to learn something new.
Ashlee feels extremely blessed for the opportunities she has been given and the people that she has met along the way. She believes in learning something new everyday, and constantly strives toward being the best that she can be. With her riveting stage presence, unique style, and exuberant passion for the performing, Ashlee Amoia is one person you definitely don’t want to miss.
